Eligibility for GMAT

Did you know that GMAT is conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council. There is no particular eligibility criteria for taking GMAT exam. Only that the candidates must be above 18 years of age while taking the GMAT exam. The candidates receive their scores right after they completing the test and this test scores is valid for next 5 years. Once the candidates are shortlisted, the final selection is based on the multiple rounds of selection process such as Statement of Purpose, Letters of Recommendation, Personal Interview and or other rounds conducted by the B-schools.

When to take GMAT

You must be thinking about the appropriate time for taking this test. Well, if you are an MBA aspirant and are planning to go for this course in your post graduation, one must see to it that the targeting dates for taking this test of GMAT is 2 months before you application is due. So for example, if your deadline for round 2 of getting admitted into this program is in January, then you must take the test no late than October.

GMAT everywhere!

More than 5,900 programs offered by more than 2,100 universities and institutions use the GMAT exam as part of the selection criteria for their programs. GMAT is a computer adaptive test which assesses a person's analytical, verbal, quantitative, reading and writing skills. All these skills are required to study in  Management program, especially MBA. 
Contrary to popular belief, GMAT does not measure Business or management skills but tests the taker in analytical writing and problem-solving abilities, while also addressing data sufficiency, logic, and critical reasoning skills that it believes to be vital to real-world business and management success. 
The GMAT exam consists of four sections: An analytical writing assessment, integrated reasoning, the quantitative section, and the verbal section.^[16] Total testing time is three and a half hours, but test takers should plan for a total time of approximately four hours, with breaks.
